Allegiant by Veronica Roth (feel free to rant!)

How would you feel if you were told your whole life was a lie? That the people you loved and lost didn't really matter? Tris, Tobias, and their group of friends do the unthinkable: they travel outside the fence. It there that they find out that they were a part of an experimental group created to heal the remaining broken pieces of the United States. Together they conquer unthinkable tasks to save their loved ones still inside their fractured town. But at what cost? What would you do to save the ones you love?

Wow. I am truly shocked by the outcome of Veronica Roth's newest book ALLEGIANT. Although the ending ripped out pieces of my heart and squished it to pieces, IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I can't accurately describe how wonderfully Roth did on her final book. It was the perfect ending to the marvelous series despite the reviews I have read by not-so-pleased fans. One reader suggested that "we demand a full refund and boycott Veronica Roth" but that's just absurd! Allegiant is a wonderful work of art that should be shared with everyone. Roth wanted her series to be unique from other stories, and she definitely accomplished it!

Are you upset by the ending? Share your thoughts and tell me how you would make it better! This is the only place were you can rant, curse, and scream your lungs out without judgement!

Be sure to read the DIVERGENT series and tell me what you think!

No Matter What by Summer Howard

Wow...

I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life! No Matter What by Summer Howard tells the amazing tale of true love between two teenagers who are put through emotional, physical, and religious stress. I really can't tell you a lot about the plot because I really think this story requires you to read it cover to cover to get the full impact of the story and the message behind it.

I loved how Summer used the word of God throughout her book even though a lot of people would view it as "uncool," I respect her greatly for it! Christian teens should find this book a great read, especially those who love the classic romance novels.

WARNING: THIS BOOK MY CAUSE YOU TO CRY FOR HOURS WITHOUT PAUSE, CURL INTO THE FETAL POSITION IN DESPAIR, AND MAKING YOU A SOBBING MESS.

You have been warned.

Nevertheless, No Matter What is a fantastic read that I believe many teens and hopeless romantics will enjoy!

If you want any more information about the book or where it can be bought, please shoot me a message and I'll answer whatever I can.

Please read this book and let me know what you think!

I promise you won't regret it, No Matter What!

Bad joke...Iapologize...sorry.

Interview with Aaron Thomas: author of The Weapon Bearer

Sorry this is so late, but here is the interview with Aaron Thomas who wrote The Weapon Bearer!
I had a fantastic time reading his book and look forward to reading whatever books he may write in the future. :)

1.How did you come up with the ideas for The Weapon Bearer?
This story didn’t just pop into my head.  I have always been a daydreamer and told myself stories to pass the solitary moments of standing in a tower at 3am in the military.  Over time these stories evolved into intricate plots and I retold them to myself tweaking the conversations and actions every time I told them to myself.

2.What made you want to write and publish your own book?
I always wrote the book in my head and but did not have the confidence in my writing skills to actually put the idea’s on paper.  The day came when my I was telling my wife about idea’s I had for books or movies.  I think she got tired of hearing about them because she told me, “Shut up and start writing them.”  After a month of planning and outlines I began writing my stories.

3.Who/What is your favorite author/book?
I have read through the wheel of time series by Robert Jordan a few times as the series had a new book released.  The intricacy of his plot lines and politics in a made up world confused and amazed me at his ability to keep the world and characters so different in their personalities.

4.Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I have always drawn my inspiration for whatever is going on in my life.  I have a passion for science so I mix a lot of science into my stories as skills are increased with the knowledge of the world around me. Readers might learn some useful skills when reading my books.

5.The Weapon Bearer is only the first book in the Search for the Brights series. How many books do you think will be in the series?
The series has evolved since I started to write it.  It was only supposed to be three books long but plot lines crossed ideas changed and book one ran longer than I had intended forcing me to end it sooner in the plot line that I had intended.  These things being said, so far I will have to extend the series to around 5 books.

6.Do you have a release date set for The Weapon Bearer?
Unfortunately no, I am depending on akickstarter fund to be able to provide money for a proofreader before I submit it to smashwords.  I would love to see the book in online stores by October 2013

7.Do you have any advice for others who want to be published authors?
START WRITING…no matter what your skills, no matter what your idea’s, no matter whats holding you back, you cannot be a writing if you never start.  The good thing about being an author is you can always change what you wrote before its published.

The Weapon Bearer by Aaron Thomas

The Weapon Bearer by Aaron Thomas is a truly amazing story full of wizards, magic, friendship, and betrayal. The journey starts out with Kilen fighting for his father's sword who was a powerful weapon bearer who never returned from a mission for the King. His simple task filled with rage and revenge quickly turned into a much bigger quest-becoming a weapon bearer more powerful than anyone had ever thought possible.

Aaron Thomas definitely deserves a round of applause for his work! The world that he has created is beyond anything that I would've ever dreamed. The Weapon Bearer had me hanging on to every last word; I didn't want to put it down! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasies, magic, and maybe even a smidge bit of mystery! Two thumbs up and praises for the first book in The Search for the Brights series! I hope to soon see this book available in stores and online throughout the country.

Aaron has certainly earned a place in my personal collection and I suggest everyone else do the same!

Now I'm eagerly awaiting the second book in the series, The Rise of the Citadel!

An interview with Aaron Thomas will follow soon after this post.

No Matter What by Summer Howard Soon To Be Released!

I'm very excited to announce that my dearest friend, and recently published author, Summer Howard has finally finished and published her first book, No Matter What! Unfortunately, we are unsure of when the book will be available in stores, but she will be getting a few copies to begin selling herself. Under this post I will write a quick excerpt from the book along with a sneak peak for those that are interested. I'm very proud of how far Summer has come in only the short time that I've known her. She is a very smart determined girl and now you can add "published author" to the list! I will try to set up a written interview with Ms. Howard and also add more detail on the book. I encourage every one of you to give her book a chance and let me know what you think! We believe the book will come out in stores sometime in September, but if you like the preview and can't wait, I'm sure we can make an arrangement! I hope you're as excited as I am! My next review will be about The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa!

"I don't think this has to change everything."
He held me at arm's length, frustration in his voice. "What if something happens to me? I can't promise that I'll survive. I can't guarantee that I'll be around..."
I couldn't meet his gaze anymore. I shut my eyes, tears rolling down my cheeks as those waves crashed me down.
He cupped my face in his hands, tilting my head upwards. He was pulling me back into a nightmarish reality.
"I can't promise those things because I don't want to hurt you again." He hesitated. "I can . I can promise you this, however. I'm not giving up. I will fight."

When Ellie has to move to a new town, she's bummed. But it helps that one of her very best friends happens to be moving to the same town. With the first day of school approaching, Ellie worries that she won't make any friends.

Little does she know that her life is about to turn upside down when she meets the mysterious Jayden. Things quickly turn from friendship to more with a little encouragement from her friends. Ellie can't help but notice there's something off about Jayden though. He misses a lot of school, is super secretive, and seems to be getting skinnier by the day.

Whenever Ellie brings it up though, her boyfriend tells her he's fine; until one day it can't be ignored anymore. Will Ellie be able to figure out what's wrong with Jayden in time to save him? Will she be willing to stick by his side No Matter What, even though the news is more than a teenager should bear? Can this young love survive something that even the longest marriages sometimes can't?

Sound like something you might be interested in? Comment below and I can try to set something up with Summer and get you your copy today!

Fallen Series by Lauren Kate

I bought the Fallen series on impulse when the beautifully designed cover caught my eye. Luce Price (pronounce Lucy for all those who are confused by the spelling....yes, I did too.) is enrolled in Sword and Cross boarding school which is very similar to a juvenile detention center seeing as all the students are a bit "rough around the edges."
Luce is believed to be involved in the murder of her boyfriend and, although no hard evidence is found, is written off as mentally unstable before being sent to the school of "screw-ups" where surveillance is a must and cell phones are restricted and collected at entrance.
There's only one good this about this hell hole, Daniel Grigori Daniel seems achingly familiar and the sight of this roughed up bad boy sends chills down Luce's spine; but she's drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Every cell in her being warns her to stay away, but she's instantly affected by him and she doesn't understand why. She must have known him from somewhere, and shes determined to find out how they know each other and she's not taking "no" for an answer.
Daniel made it very clear that he wanted nothing to do with Luce and expressed his thoughts when he first laid his eyes on her by immediately smiling and flipping her off. Daniel has a secret, but will Luce uncover it? Daniel tries his best to stay away from Luce to keep her safe, but he gravitates toward her and just can’t keep his distance.
The odd pair can't stay away from each other through no fault of their own. Fate has other plans in store for them that neither one can resist. Daniel warns her of what will happen if they're together, but will they be able to stay apart?
Something has changed, everything is different this time. Can Daniel keep her safe? How can he tell her that he’s a fallen angel without her bursting into flames just like last time and the time before?
The entire series is captivating and will draw you in until you’re greedily drinking every word from the page. Romance, suspense, fantasies, and a little hint of mystery will make you never want the story to end!

Read them all right here!
Book 1: Fallen
Book 2: Torture
Book 3: Passion
In between book: Fallen In Love
Book 4: Rapture

The Mentor: The Kid and The CEO by Tom Pace

I was forced to read this book in my english class at school. My first thought was "Oh my gosh, I can't belikeve I have to read this. This isn't the type of books I usually read. What's the point?" Despite my hesitation, I began the short 150 page book and instantly got into it!
The main charactor, Tony, is arrested and put in jail for stealing beer with his friend from a gas station at 19 years old. They would have gotten away with it had his friend made sure to fill the gas tank in the get away car. They only made it about half a mile down the road when the truck ran out of gas and they were both arrested. Repeatively through the first couple of chapters, Tony complains about how it "wasn't his fault that he was caught. If his friend had just put gas in the car, everything would be fine." He honestly believed that it wasn't his fault that he got caught, although he willingly stole the beer while under age in the first place.
While in jail, Tony meets Malcom, the Monday night group leader, who gives him a book called "The Greatest Miracle In The World." This book inspires tony to becomea better person when he get out of jail. Malcom eventually becomes Tony's mentor when he has finished serving his 90 days in prison. Malcom teaches him how to become a better person and to start his own business.
I found this to be an extremely inspiring book that I suggest for everyone to read! Tom Pace is an incredible author and an even better human being and mentor. If you have not already heard of Tom Pace, I high reccommend that you search him on Google and read about his truely amazing story.
Hopefully you will take my advise and read this story and continue to share it with others as I have with you.  I hope that you also find it as encouraging as I do and will think about finding your own mentor! There is a list at the back of the book of titles that you should aslo read along with a list of things that we should all do in our lives to mke us better people for ourselves and others!

Review for The Hush, Hush series

The Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick is a truly amazing piece of work that I highly recommend to those who enjoy doomed romance and fictional circumstances.

SPOILER ALERT: Nora, the girl who shyly hides away from everyone besides her best friend, Vee, feels an unnatural connection with the new school bad boy. Patch is reserved, unsettling, and fiercely handsome; he's also a fallen angel. The pair of star-crossed lovers were doomed long before their love formed a thought in their confused minds, but it doesn't stop them from falling.

Fitzpatrick is an exceptional writer whom I believe to be one of the best authors I have found in quite a while. Her spell binding words enchant you from page one;
I couldn't put it down! Nora and Patch go through extraordinary lengths to stay with each other despite the archangel's attempts to separate them; including a threat to chain Patch in hell.
Their story is guaranteed to captivate you until the end and leave you wishing for more!

Patch, a fallen angel with no sense of touch. Has known no emotion except want.
Nora craves Patch's touch and loves him through the pain he causes.

Can they ever be together? Or will their pasts keep them apart?

I advise you to read the whole series!

Book 1: Hush, Hush
Book 2: Crescendo
Book 3: Silence
Book 4: Finale
